Ozona is a census-designated place located in Crockett County, Texas. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 3,436. It is the county seat of Crockett CountyTemplate:GR.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 12.1 km² (4.7 mi²). 12.1 km² (4.7 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 3,436 people, 1,255 households, and 919 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 283.5/km² (734.6/mi²). There are 1,514 housing units at an average density of 124.9/km² (323.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 74.62% White, 0.81% African American, 0.67% Native American, 0.32% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 20.93% from other races, and 2.62% from two or more races. 60.13% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 1,255 households out of which 38.4% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.7% are married couples living together, 10.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 26.7% are non-families. 24.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.7% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.71 and the average family size is 3.25.
In the CDP the population is spread out with 30.3% under the age of 18, 7.4% from 18 to 24, 26.8% from 25 to 44, 23.1% from 45 to 64, and 12.4% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 36 years. For every 100 females there are 94.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 93.8 males.
