Oyama, Tochigi

Oyama is also the name of the Field-Marshal and Prince Oyama, commander of the Japanese forces in the Battle of Mukden. Oyama is also a small town located in the municipality of Lake Country, British Columbia, with an estimated population of 1644. It was founded by a Japanese man.

As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 157,292 and the density of 916.57 persons per km². The total area is 171.61 km².
Oyama was given city status on March 31, 1954.
