Outremont (electoral district)

Outremont is the name of a federal electoral district in Quebec, Canada. Its population is 96,693. (2001)
Geography
The district includes the former City of Outremont, the eastern part of Côte-des-Neiges in the Côte-des-Neiges/Notre-Dame-de-Grâce borough, and the western part of the Mile End in the Plateau Mont-Royal borough in the City of Montreal.
History
The electoral district was created in 1933 from Laurier—Outremont and Mount Royal. The name was changed to Outremont—Saint-Jean in 1947 and back to Outremont in 1966.
