Omega 7

Omega 7 was an anti-Castro Cuban exile paramilitary group based in Florida. It is now said to be disbanded with its leaders imprisoned in the USA and was said to be a relatively small group. It is considered a terrorist organisation by the Cuban government of President Fidel Castro and the FBI. However, Omega 7 and other anti-Castro militants (e.g. from Alpha 66) are believed to be supported by the CIA, which is said to run paramilitary training camps for these groups. According to the FBI, Omega 7 members are mostly Bay of Pigs veterans trained in demolition, intelligence and commando techniques, whose "well-planned and flawlessly executed" actions consisted mostly of "bombings, shootings, and assassinations". Omega 7 is said to have carried out most of its attacks in the USA.
The goal of this and other anti-Castro militants is to overthrow the Castro government. Most groups claim they plan to bring democracy to Cuba: at present a one-party Communist state. Some people do not believe this since these groups are said to have their roots in supporters of deposed Cuban dictator, Fulgencio Batista.
These paramilitaries have been accused of or admitted to numerous attacks on civilian and diplomatic targets, e.g. Cuban civilian airliners, hotels, embassies, ships, and similar targets of allied countries in Florida, Cuba and worldwide. They are also accused of attempting to assassinate Castro and other Cuban government officials.
