Olof Mellberg

Olof Mellberg (born September 3, 1977) is a Swedish football player.
Mellberg is a strong central defender currently playing club football with Aston Villa. He has also played for Gullspång, Degerfors IF, AIK, and Racing Santander (Spain). Mellberg was a member of the Swedish national team in the World Cup 2002, as well as Template:Ec2 and Template:Ec2.
In 2003 he was selected as best Swedish player of the year, winning Guldbollen.
