Old Carleton County Court House

The Old Carleton County Court House is located at 19 Court Street in Upper Woodstock, New Brunswick, Canada.
The Court house was built in 1833. A new court house was constructed, obviating the need for the old one, which was used as a horse barn until 1966 when it was purchased by the Carleton County Historical Society. It was designated as a protected heritage site in 1977.
It is open to the public daily from 10am-6pm in July and August and at other times by appointment. The Victorian Christmas Concert is held here on the last weekend in November.
History
The George Gee trial was held here, as was that of Minnie Bell Sharp, wife of Edwin Tappan Adney.
Directions
Take Route 103 north from Woodstock to Highway 560 to the flashing amber lights. Court Street is the first street on the left. Or from TCH 2, take Exit 188 to Route 560 towards Woodstock. The Court House is on the right side.
