According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 2.2 km² (0.8 mi²). 2.2 km² (0.8 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water. It is really small, so small that if you blink as you drive through on the highway, you might miss it. The coolest thing about Oilton is the FAA Traffic Control Radar nearby. Other than that, boring place to be. When the best thing about your town is a desolate radar station, you might want to consider moving. Like to Laredo. But that's a different story.
