Ogma

In Irish mythology, Ogma, orator and champion of the Tuatha Dé Danann, was a god of scholars, education, writing and eloquence. He is said to have invented the early Irish alphabet called Ogham. He was known by the epithets Grianainech ("sun-face") and Milbél ("honey-mouth"). He was killed at the Second Battle of Magh Tuiredh after taking away Balor's sword.
He is likely related to the Gaulish deity Ogmios.
In the Forgotten Realms RPG setting, Oghma is recognised as a deity with similarly scholastic portfolios. He is the god of knowledge and bards, and is known as The Binder Of What Is Known. His home plane is the House of Knowledge.
After the debacle in Zhentil Keep that saw Cyric take a blow to his power, he entrusted Rinda with the Cyrinishad, a book Cyric had her pen that converted anyone who read it or heard a erading of it to a fanatically loyal follower of Cyric. Cyric then read his own book. He also gave her a diamond amulet to render her invisible to all the gods, even Oghma.
