Northern Lights is a common name for the polar aurorae in the northern hemisphere.

- Northern Lights, the first book in Philip Pullman's fantasy trilogy, His Dark Materials. The book is known as The Golden Compass in the United States.
- Northern Lights, a CBC radio programme.
- Northern Lights, a song by Renaissance from the album A Song for All Seasons (1978) which became a surprise hit when released as a single. The song refers not to the aurorae but to the lights of England's northern cities which the narrator is leaving behind.
