North Branch is a village located in Lapeer County, Michigan. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 1,027. The village is located within North Branch Township.

As of the census2 of 2000, there are 1,027 people, 403 households, and 261 families residing in the village. The population density is 309.8/km² (804.6/mi²). There are 431 housing units at an average density of 130.0/km² (337.7/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 97.66% White, 0.19% African American, 0.29% Native American, 0.19% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.39% from other races, and 1.27% from two or more races. 2.24% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 403 households out of which 34.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 43.4% are married couples living together, 15.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 35.0% are non-families. 32.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 18.4% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older.
