The Nodosaurus was a herbivorous dinosaur from the Cretaceous, fossils of which are found in Northern America.
The Nodosaurus is one of the armored dinosaurs known for a body covered with bony plates: Nodosaurus means "Knobbed Lizard". It is a relative of Ankylosaurus, but does not have a tail club. The Nodosaurus was up to 6 meters in length and weighted up to 2700 Kilograms. Nodosauridae are known from Kansas, Texas, and Wyoming.
