Nicklas Lidström (born April 28 1970, in Fagersta, Sweden) is a professional Ice Hockey defenceman in the NHL, playing for the Detroit Red Wings. He started his career in Fagersta and later moved on to play in Västerås IK before beeing drafted in 1989 by Detroit.
Lidstrom has played all of his 12 NHL seasons for Detroit. He has won 3 Stanley Cups (1997, 1998, 2002). His best season was 1999-00 when he had 73 points.
