New Boston is an unincorporated community in Wayne County in the U.S. state of Michigan. It had a population of 1300 people in 1990.
It is on the Huron River at Template:Coor dms, just south of Romulus, Michigan. Interstate 275 passes to the east of the community with exit 13 providing easy access.
New Boston was first settled around 1820 and was originally called "Catville" after the initials of C. A. Trowbridge, its proprietor. It received a post office in 1860. On March 20, 1868 the name of the town was changed to New Boston.
