Nes is a municipality in the county of Akershus, Norway.
800 farms make the area one of the largest producers of wheat in the country.
Nes includes many natural attractions, such as parts of the river Glomma, as well as 168 lakes. Moose, beaver and lynx can be found here. Hunting is carried on in a big scale.
An academy of artists is situated here. You will also find Norway's best preserved church ruins from 1100 AD.
