Naval Academy is a census-designated place and Census Designated Place located in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, which actually consists of the United States Naval Academy. As of the 2000 census, it had a total population of 4,264.
Geography
Naval Academy is located at 38°58'59" North, 76°29'23" West (Template:Coor d)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 2.3 km² (0.9 mi²). 1.4 km² (0.6 mi²) of it is land and 0.8 km² (0.3 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 36.78% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 4,264 people, 249 households, and 225 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 2,993.3/km² (7,706.5/mi²). There are 263 housing units at an average density of 184.6/km² (475.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 87.10% White, 5.49% African American, 0.33% Native American, 2.95% Asian, 0.12% Pacific Islander, 1.83% from other races, and 2.18% from two or more races. 6.94% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
