Native Forest Restoration Trust
|
Founded in 1980, the New Zealand Native Forests Restoration Trust is an organisation involved in forest restoration.
Since then, the Trust has acquired land at the rate of 2.5 square kilometres per year to protect important species, restore their habitats and to improve the quality of waterways. It now has nineteen reserves throughout the North Island with a total of nearly 50 square kilometres of protected native forests.
Sir Edmund Hillary is the patron of the trust.
