Napoli is a town located in Cattaraugus County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 1,159.
The Town of Napoli was incorporated in 1823, formed from part of the Town of Little Valley.
Geography
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 94.6 km² (36.5 mi²). 94.3 km² (36.4 mi²) of it is land and 0.4 km² (0.1 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.38% water.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 1,159 people, 376 households, and 292 families residing in the town. The population density is 12.3/km² (31.8/mi²). There are 541 housing units at an average density of 5.7/km² (14.9/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 96.46% White, 0.43% African American, 1.38% Native American, 0.86% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.00% from other races, and 0.86% from two or more races. 0.26% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 376 households out of which 36.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.1% are married couples living together, 5.9% have a female householder with no husband present, and 22.1% are non-families. 17.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 3.06 and the average family size is 3.43.
