Naples is a town located in Ontario County, New York. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 2,441.
The Town of Naples contains a village, also called Naples. The town is in the southwest corner of the county.

Geography
The west town line is the border of Livingston County, and the south town line is the border of Steuben County. The east town line is the border of Yates County.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 102.3 km² (39.5 mi²). None of the area is covered with water. The very hilly land, once thought to be nearly worthless, was sold to the original settlers for twelve cents an acre.
Demographics
As of the census2 of 2000, there are 2,441 people, 986 households, and 674 families residing in the town. The population density is 23.9/km² (61.8/mi²). There are 1,112 housing units at an average density of 10.9/km² (28.2/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 97.91% White, 0.25% Black or African American, 0.08% Native American, 0.49% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.25% from other races, and 1.02% from two or more races. 0.66% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 986 households out of which 31.0% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 54.8% are married couples living together, 10.2% have a female householder with no husband present, and 31.6% are non-families. 26.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.0% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.46 and the average family size is 2.95.
In the town the population is spread out with 26.1% under the age of 18, 4.3% from 18 to 24, 27.6% from 25 to 44, 27.0% from 45 to 64, and 15.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 40 years. For every 100 females there are 92.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 87.9 males.
The median income for a household in the town is $36,813, and the median income for a family is $42,566. Males have a median income of $34,508 versus $23,333 for females. The per capita income for the town is $17,944. 10.5% of the population and 8.9% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 12.9% of those under the age of 18 and 14.2% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
