Nailsea

Template:GBmap Nailsea is a town in North Somerset, England, about 13 km to the South West of Bristol and about 23 km to the North East of the seaside resort of Weston Super Mare. It was once known for glass manufacturing, with a famous glassworks founded by John Robert Lucas in the 19th century, eventually becoming the fourth largest glassworks in the country. The site of the glassworks has been recently been covered by a Tesco supermarket car park (leaving it relatively accessible for future archaeological digs). Other parts of the site are currently being cleared and developed ensuring that the remains of the old glassworks are preserved for the future. It is also the home to the Nailsea Moores.
Furthermore, Nailsea is known for its cider and Adge Cutler, who was once lead singer of the The Wurzels. Nailsea and pubs such as the Royal Oak or the Queen's Head were once regular performing venues of The Wurzels. The Wurzels' album Live at the Royal Oak was recorded at The Royal Oak.
Some nearby towns are Portishead, Wraxall, Clevedon, Backwell, and Tickenham.
