Nago (名護市; -shi) is a city located in Okinawa, Japan.
As of 2003, the city has an estimated population of 57,551 and the density of 273.74 persons per km². The total area is 210.24 km².
The city was founded on August 1, 1970.
Ocean Expo 1975
In 1975, the World Exposition was held in Okinawa with a focus on the world's oceans. After the expo concluded, Ocean Expo Park was built on the site in Nago. Ocean Expo Park is the site of the Okinawa Curami Aquarium - one of Japan's largest and best - as well as other exhibits highlighting the island and its culture.
