NK/FK Željezničar is a football club from Bosnia and Herzegovina, playing in the capital, Sarajevo.
The initial acronym stands for Nogometni klub/Fudbalski klub (both names meaning "Football club"), and the name Željezničar means "railway worker", given that it was originally a railway team.
Željezničar, alias Željo, is historically one of the most prominent and successful football teams in Bosnia and Herzegovina. During the time of the former Yugoslavia, FK Željeznicar was a prominent member of the Yugoslav First League. Today, Željeznicar is the most famous teams in the Football Association of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
