The Mouvement des Entreprises de France or MEDEF (in English: "Movement of the French Enterprises") is the largest union of employers in France. It was formerly known as the Conseil National du Patronat Français or CNPF (in English: "National Council of the French Employers").

Its current president is Ernest-Antoine Seillière who is finishing his term of office. The campaign is launched. Among the five candidates, Francis Mehr (president) and Guillaume Sarkozy (vice president) are the first to present a common candidature and may be elected. Mr Beigbeder distinguish himself for his conception of the enterprise which he sees like a community and not only a place for doing money.
