Москва Слезам Не Верит (Moscow Does Not Believe In Tears, Moskva slezam ne verit) is a 1979 Russian film made by Mosfilm. It was written by Valentin Chernykh and directed by Vladimir Menshov.
It won an Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1981, and was chosen to participate in the International Film Exchange.
Plot
The movie is about the contrast in the lives of three women who became friends through living together in a student dormitory. The movie spans about 20 years—from the womens' youth to their middle age. The movie deals with many social and moral issues.
