Morrisville is a town located in Wake County, North Carolina, USA. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 5,208.

Geography
Morrisville is located at 35°49'39" North, 78°49'44" West (35.827493, -78.828930)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 17.5 km² (6.8 mi²). Lake Crabtree County Park is located in Morrisville. Portions of 520 acre (2.1 km²) Lake Crabtree are within the town's border.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 5,208 people, 2,476 households, and 1,297 families residing in the town. The population density is 297.0/km² (769.0/mi²). There are 3,210 housing units at an average density of 183.1/km² (474.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 76.46% White, 11.00% African American, 0.44% Native American, 9.06% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 1.17% from other races, and 1.86% from two or more races. 3.26% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 2,476 households out of which 24.7% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 42.0% are married couples living together, 7.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 47.6% are non-families. 36.6% of all households are made up of individuals and 2.3% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.10 and the average family size is 2.80.
In the town the population is spread out with 20.6% under the age of 18, 11.2% from 18 to 24, 50.0% from 25 to 44, 14.2% from 45 to 64, and 4.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 30 years. For every 100 females there are 106.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 104.9 males.
The median income for a household in the town is $56,548, and the median income for a family is $64,625. Males have a median income of $46,750 versus $34,528 for females. The per capita income for the town is $32,243. 4.6% of the population and 3.4% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 4.1% of those under the age of 18 and 13.0% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.
Industry
Morrisville is one of the boundaries of the Research Triangle Park development in North Carolina. It therefore has a mixture of technology and agricultural industry, and the town has been experiencing growth.
