Mohave Valley is a census-designated place located in Mohave County, Arizona. As of the 2000 census, the CDP had a total population of 13,694.
Geography
Mohave Valley is located at 34°57'25" North, 114°35'5" West (34.956929, -114.584613)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 117.6 km² (45.4 mi²). 117.2 km² (45.3 mi²) of it is land and 0.4 km² (0.2 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.35% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 13,694 people, 5,217 households, and 3,850 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 116.8/km² (302.6/mi²). There are 6,672 housing units at an average density of 56.9/km² (147.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 90.79% White, 0.45% Black or African American, 2.34% Native American, 0.94% Asian, 0.12% Pacific Islander, 3.26% from other races, and 2.10% from two or more races. 11.98% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 5,217 households out of which 29.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.4% are married couples living together, 9.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 26.2% are non-families. 19.0% of all households are made up of individuals and 8.1% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.61 and the average family size is 2.94.
In the CDP the population is spread out with 24.6% under the age of 18, 5.7% from 18 to 24, 25.8% from 25 to 44, 27.4% from 45 to 64, and 16.5% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 41 years. For every 100 females there are 101.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 100.9 males.
