Modesto is a village located in Macoupin County, Illinois. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 252.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 1.5 km² (0.6 mi²). 1.5 km² (0.6 mi²) of it is land and none of it is covered by water.
