Modern Screen Magazine

Modern Screen Magazine was an American magazine with gossip about show business stars.
Modern Screen ran from the 1940s to the 1960s. Modern Screen was not able to deal with the advent of the teen magazine era, because although geared towards a young readership, other magazines, such as Tiger Beat and Teen Beat, appealed more to teenagers.
Modern Screen usually cost around thirty five cents.
George Hamilton once said of Lynda Bird on Modern Screen magazine that "I could love her even if she weren't the President's daughter". On the same vein, Mia Farrow declared to the magazine "I'm too young to cry over Frank (Sinatra)".
The magazine was published by the Dell publisher, from New York City. Modern Screen's editor in chief was Richard Heller.
