Miriam Waddington

Miriam Waddington (1917-March 3, 2004) was a poet, writer and translator in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Her poem Jacques Cartier in Toronto is featured on the back of the Canadian $100 bill released in 2004. Waddington, who was part of the Montreal circle that included Irving Layton and Louis Dudek, died in a nursing home in Vancouver at 86 from a stroke.
