Mint Hill is a town located in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. As of the 2000 census, the town had a total population of 14,922.

Geography
Mint Hill is located at 35°10'49" North, 80°39'52" West (35.180189, -80.664432)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 55.1 km² (21.3 mi²). 55.0 km² (21.2 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.19% water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 14,922 people, 5,581 households, and 4,431 families residing in the town. The population density is 271.4/km² (702.9/mi²). There are 5,763 housing units at an average density of 104.8/km² (271.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the town is 90.11% White, 5.81% African American, 0.72% Native American, 1.15% Asian, 0.03% Pacific Islander, 1.07% from other races, and 1.12% from two or more races. 3.16% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 5,581 households out of which 33.9% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 68.9% are married couples living together, 7.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 20.6% are non-families. 16.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 5.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.67 and the average family size is 2.98.
In the town the population is spread out with 24.3% under the age of 18, 7.1% from 18 to 24, 28.5% from 25 to 44, 29.8% from 45 to 64, and 10.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 39 years. For every 100 females there are 98.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 95.8 males.
The median income for a household in the town is $60,822, and the median income for a family is $67,055. Males have a median income of $45,368 versus $30,467 for females. The per capita income for the town is $26,487. 4.8% of the population and 2.9% of families are below the poverty line. Out of the total population, 4.9% of those under the age of 18 and 11.4% of those 65 and older are living below the poverty line.

The citizens of Mint Hill, NC attend Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. For high school, they either go to Providence, Independence, East Meck, or Butler.
