Michael Amott

Michael Amott is a Swedish guitar player. He has been a heavy metal musician for many years, playing guitar in a number of prominent bands, recently being officially sponsored by Peavey Electronics. His metal career started with the pre-Dismember band Carnage. After that band split up, Amott was asked to join British grinders Carcass. He started his own metal band Spiritual Beggars when he departed from Carcass. Later on he formed Arch Enemy with his younger brother Christoffer Amott. In the meantime, he had also recorded the guitars for a Candlemass album as a session player.
