Meg Munn

Margaret Patricia Munn (born 24 August 1959) is a politician in the United Kingdom. She is Labour and Co-operative member of Parliament for Sheffield Heeley, and was first elected in 2001.
Munn was previously a Nottingham City Councillor. She was a social worker, latterly working as Assistant Director for Children's Services at City of York Council.
She was named the Top Toady in The Guardian on February 10, 2005, as, out of 912 votes within Parliament, she had only voted against the government seven times.
In May 2005 Munn was appointed Minister for Women by Tony Blair in his historic third Labour government. The appointment came almost a week after the rest of the government was announced. As a result of this Munn will serve as minister but not be paid, as Blair had already appointed his maximum number of paid goverment posts. Ironically, eliminating the pay gap between men and women is now one of Munn's ministerial responsibilities.
