Medley

A medley is a collection of related but different things, served as one.
- Medley swimming in swimming competitions refers to a combination of different strokes in one competition. Individual medley consist of one swimmer swimming four different strokes in one competition. Medley relay consists of four swimmers, each swimming a different stroke in a relay swimming competition. Medley events are also occaionaly held in track meets, usually consisting of teams of four runners running progressively longer distances.
- In connection with music, medley represents a series of songs strung together into one longer performance. A medley which is a remixed series is called a megamix, often done for a single artist, or for popular songs from a given year. A medley is also used colloquially to mean any song.
- A medley can also be used to refer to food and other things, such as a fruit or vegetable medley served as a side dish.
Les Medley was a key man in the Tottenham Hotspur's famous 'push and run' side that won the First Division championship in 1950-51 having won the Second Division the season before, when Les was top scorer.
Medley is also a Brazilian pharmaceutical industry in the city of Campinas, state of São Paulo, Brazil (see [1] (http://www.medley.com.br))
