McCook is a suburb of Chicago located in Cook County in the U.S. state of Illinois. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 254, which is the lowest population of all municipalities in the county.

McCook is located at 41°47'55" North, 87°49'57" West (41.798542, -87.832432)Template:GR.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 6.8 km² (2.6 mi²). 6.7 km² (2.6 mi²) of it is land and 0.1 km² (0.04 mi²) of it is water. The total area is 0.76% water.
McCook is home to a small population, but a large amount of heavy industry, resulting in a large tax base.

As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 254 people, 119 households, and 69 families residing in the village. The population density is 37.7/km² (97.6/mi²). There are 125 housing units at an average density of 18.6/km² (48.0/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 95.28% White, 0.00% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 4.72% from other races, and 0.00% from two or more races. 7.87% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
