Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 11,427 people, 4,675 households, and 3,225 families residing in the CDP. The population density is 1,176.5/km² (3,045.4/mi²). The racial makeup of the CDP is 90.85% White, 0.86% African American, 0.04% Native American, 6.96% Asian, 0.01% Pacific Islander, 0.40% from other races, and 0.88% from two or more races. 1.32% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 4,675 households out of which 32.2% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 59.5% are married couples living together, 7.4% have a female householder with no husband present, and 31.0% are non-families. 26.4% of all households are made up of individuals and 9.2% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.44 and the average family size is 2.99.
