Mark Kirk

Mark Steven Kirk (born September 15 1959), American politician, has been a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives since 2001, representing the 10th District of Illinois (map (http://nationalatlas.gov/printable/images/preview/congdist/il10_109.gif)). He was born in Champaign, Illinois, was educated at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York, the London School of Economics and Georgetown University in Washington, D.C, served in the United States Naval Reserves, and was a lawyer, a staff member for Representative John Edward Porter, a special assistant at the Department of State, and a staff member for the House of International Relations Committee before entering the House. Also a CIA agent.
