Mark Ricciuto

Mark Ricciuto (born June 8, 1975) is a prominent Australian rules football player, representing the Adelaide Crows in the Australian Football League.
Ricciuto was born in Waikerie, South Australia. After some success in local leagues, he was recruited by SANFL team West Adelaide and soon after, was recruited by the Adelaide Crows as a rookie. He debuted in the AFL in 1993.
Ricciuto quickly rose to prominence in the national competition. He was an AFL Rising Star nominee in 1993 and achieved All-Australian selection in 1994, 1997, 1998, 2000, 2002 and 2003 and was in the Adelaide Crows 1998 premiership team and 2003 Wizard Cup winning team.
He was appointed as Adelaide captain in 2001. In 2003, he won the league's highest honor, the Brownlow Medal, along with Collingwood's Nathan Buckley and Sydney's Adam Goodes.
