Mario Diaz-Balart (born September 25 1961), American politician, has been a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives since 2003, representing the 25th District of Florida (map (http://nationalatlas.gov/printable/images/preview/congdist/fl25_109.gif)). He was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, was educated at the University of South Florida, and was a businessman and member of the Florida House of Representatives before entering the House. He is the brother of Representative Lincoln Diaz-Balart and the son of exiled Cuban politician Rafael Diaz-Balart, and a former nephew by marriage of Fidel Castro.
