Mansfield is a borough located in Tioga County, Pennsylvania. As of the 2000 census, the borough had a total population of 3,411.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 4.9 km² (1.9 mi²). 4.9 km² (1.9 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 3,411 people, 957 households, and 467 families residing in the borough. The population density is 700.5/km² (1,815.2/mi²). There are 1,012 housing units at an average density of 207.8/km² (538.5/mi²). The racial makeup of the borough is 93.35% White, 4.16% African American, 0.32% Native American, 0.76% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.38% from other races, and 1.03% from two or more races. 1.00% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 957 households out of which 23.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 35.6% are married couples living together, 10.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 51.2% are non-families. 34.8% of all households are made up of individuals and 12.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.21 and the average family size is 2.83.
In the borough the population is spread out with 13.1% under the age of 18, 50.2% from 18 to 24, 15.3% from 25 to 44, 12.4% from 45 to 64, and 9.0% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 22 years. For every 100 females there are 86.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 85.3 males.
