The racial makeup of the town is 91.31% White, 0.10% African American, 4.39% Native American, 0.24% Asian, 0.24% Pacific Islander, 0.29% from other races, and 3.44% from two or more races. 1.43% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 783 households out of which 38.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 58.5% are married couples living together, 11.7% have a female householder with no husband present, and 25.5% are non-families. 23.1% of all households are made up of individuals and 10.9% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.57 and the average family size is 3.00.
