Manlius is a village located in Onondaga County, New York, USA. As of the 2000 census, the village had a total population of 4,819.
The Village of Manlius, within the Town of Manlius, was formed in 1813 and is the first village in the county.

Geography

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 4.6 km² (1.8 mi²). None of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 4,819 people, 2,056 households, and 1,293 families residing in the village. The population density is 1,045.3/km² (2,705.8/mi²). There are 2,143 housing units at an average density of 464.8/km² (1,203.3/mi²). The racial makeup of the village is 93.07% White, 1.02% Black or African American, 0.23% Native American, 4.17% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.21% from other races, and 1.31% from two or more races. 1.31% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 2,056 households out of which 32.6% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 51.8% are married couples living together, 9.0% have a female householder with no husband present, and 37.1% are non-families. 33.2% of all households are made up of individuals and 15.6% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.33 and the average family size is 3.00.
In the village the population is spread out with 26.7% under the age of 18, 4.8% from 18 to 24, 27.7% from 25 to 44, 24.5% from 45 to 64, and 16.3% who are 65 years of age or older. The median age is 39 years. For every 100 females there are 87.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there are 79.8 males.
