Manilla is a city located in Crawford County, Iowa. As of the 2000 census, the city had a total population of 839. The city is not to be confused with Manila, the capital of the Philippines.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.0 km² (0.8 mi²). 2.0 km² (0.8 mi²) of it is land and none of the area is covered with water.
Demographics
As of the censusTemplate:GR of 2000, there are 839 people, 337 households, and 222 families residing in the city. The population density is 410.1/km² (1,059.2/mi²). There are 369 housing units at an average density of 180.3/km² (465.8/mi²). The racial makeup of the city is 97.74% White, 0.24% African American, 0.00% Native American, 0.00% Asian, 0.00% Pacific Islander, 0.36% from other races, and 1.67% from two or more races. 0.48% of the population are Hispanic or Latino of any race.
There are 337 households out of which 27.3% have children under the age of 18 living with them, 56.7% are married couples living together, 7.1% have a female householder with no husband present, and 34.1% are non-families. 30.3% of all households are made up of individuals and 17.5% have someone living alone who is 65 years of age or older. The average household size is 2.31 and the average family size is 2.89.
