Mandurah is a satellite city 50 minutes (72 km) south of Perth, Western Australia.
With a population of around 60,000 - many of them being young families and retirees - it is a booming coastal city much favoured by the citizens of Perth as a weekend getaway. Despite popular belief, Mandurah is not just a home for the rich with many affordable living opportunities. The major appeal is Mandurah's close proximity to water, the main suburbs being on man-made islands with many canals. The recent projects have brought new life to the city. The marina has become a meeting place for tourist and locals with restaurants, cafés, a resort, and medium density living. The Mandurah railway line that is currently under construction and the proposed freeway link will all help to continue Mandurah's huge growth and better connect it with Perth. The future for Mandurah looks very bright.
