Luis Guzmán is a Puerto Rican actor. He was born in Cayey, Puerto Rico in 1957. For much of his career his squat, characterful appearance garnered him roles largely as sidekicks or crooks, but his later career saw him in more mainstream roles. He is a favorite of directors Steven Soderbergh and Paul Thomas Anderson.
His numerous movie credits include Carlito's Way, Stonewall, Magnolia, and in Soderbergh's Traffic and The Limey. He also appeared in TV prison drama Oz and in the video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.
