Long Island University

Long Island University is a private university with its primary campus in Brooklyn, New York.
There are two other branches of the university. The C.W. Post campus is located in Brookville, New York. Southampton College is located in Southampton, New York. LIU also owns Friends World Program, an international college of global studies.
In June 2004, LIU announced that the undergraduate programs at Southampton College would be closed in June 2005, with any remaining students and faculty allowed to transfer to the C.W. Post campus. Graduate programs in English, writing, and education are expected to remain at the Southampton campus.
