Lloyd Maines

Lloyd Maines (born June 28, 1951) is a country music musician and producer.
Based in Lubbock, Texas he is a legendary pedal steel guitar player but also plays dobro and guitar. He worked with Joe Ely in the 1970s.
Lloyd is the father of Natalie Maines, lead singer in the Dixie Chicks.
Maines is also an accomplished record producer, and has been key in the establishment of the Texas Music movement. Some of his notable recording projects include Terri Hendrix, Pat Green and Two Tons of Steel.
