  • The shortest streets in Hoboken are Willow Terrace North and Willow Terrace South (they are both 1 block long but are private.)
  • Castle Point Terrace, Lynn Alley, Marshall Street, Shipyard Lane, Constitution Connect and Independence Connect are all the second shortest streets. Lynn Alley and Marshall Street go through or around the Hoboken Projects while Castle Point Terrace is a street near Stevens (half of Castle Point terrace is a yellow brick road.) The other 3 streets are in the notheastern Shipyard area of Hoboken.
  • The longest street is Willow Street. However, if the length of the street outside Hoboken is included, Park Avenue is longest, stretching from southern Hoboken all the way to North Hudson Park in North Bergen.
  • The streets with numbers go east/west and the streets with names go north/south (with the exception of Observer Highway, Newark Street, Hudson Place, Willow Terrace North and Willow Terrace South, which all go east/west.)
  • 11th street has traffic islands dedicated to the Elysian fields, where the first baseball game was played. On one of the islands is a baseball monument.
  • Street that extends farthest west: Paterson Street. Street that extends farthest east: Sinatra Drive. Street that extends farthest north (within city boundaries): Willow Avenue. Street that extends farthest south: Newark Street
  • Vezzetti Way is a street that parallels Observer Highway and is only designed for parking.
  • Sinatra Drive is the only street where you can see Manhattan from just about anywhere.
  • Court Street is the only street made entirely from cobblestones. It is not a major street and is inbetween Washington and Hudson streets, although it ends at 7th street.
  • Newark Street is sometimes (but rarely) called 0th street.
  • From Adams street west to Harrison street, the streets are named after presidents. There are 6 of these, but there are 8 presidential streets total, if Washington Street and Clinton Street are included. (Note: Clinton Street was not originally named after a president but can be interpreted as being presidential.)
