Here is a list of sockets and slots used by AMD central processing units:
- Same as Intel. See List of Intel CPU slots and sockets.
K5:
- Socket 7 (same as Intel)
K6:
- Socket 7 (same as Intel)
- Super Socket 7 (same as Socket 7, with the addition of 100 MHz front side bus)
- Slot A for K7 Athlons and some Thunderbird Athlons
- Socket A also known as Socket 462
- µ-PGA also known as Socket 563 (specialised socket for Low Power and Ultra Low Power Athlon XP-Mobile processors)
