Lion War

The Lion War is a fictional war in the game Final Fantasy Tactics.

Prelude

The Lion War was triggered when King Omdolia of Ivalice died of the Black Death and did not leave an heir to the throne. Prince Larg, brother of Queen Ruvelia, and Prince Goltana, cousin of the king, stated they were the rightful heirs to the throne. Larg, commander of the Hokuten Knights and Goltana, commander of the Nanten Knights thus declared war on one another.
