Lindfield, New South Wales

Lindfield is a suburb in the North Shore area of Sydney, Australia. The Lindfield area was settled in the 1850s. One of the people who built a house there named his house after Lindfield, Sussex, England where he was born. This name was later used to identify the neighbourhood. Lindfield has a railway station on the North Shore Line and is about 20 minutes by train from downtown Sydney. The Pacific Hwy goes through Lindfield and it takes 20 to 30 minutes to get to North Sydney (where the Pacific Hwy ends). There are many attractive houses with fine gardens in Lindfield.
