Libranet

In computing, Libranet is a Linux distribution that is based on Debian GNU/Linux. Debian provides a huge package collection and an excellent package management tool named APT. Libranet builds on the reliable Debian base and adds an excellent installation program and a configuration tool named Adminmenu. Besides that Libranet includes a carefully selected collection of software. Distinguishing features that are often mentioned are:
- A user friendly installer.
- The AdminMenu configuration tool.
- A wide selection of packages.
- Good support.
- A friendly and helpful community.
The current version (as of April 25, 2005) is Libranet 3.0, which costs about $90 in US dollars for new users, or $65 for existing Libranet users. The previous version, Libranet 2.8.1, is free to download.
